PROFILE
DRILL
TRANSCRIPT
Fundamental Football Dad here with Repstick. If you guys have gotten this far, then you're probably killing the first two drills and you're ready to take it to the next level.
Today, we're going to be doing what's called a profile drill. There will be four basic positions for that and this is what it's going to look like. You're going to turn sideways towards the person that's helping you facilitate. And you're going to have four basic positions. Again, our hands are out wide, elbows extended, and we're going to have high, we're going to have low, and then we're going to bend our knees, and we're going to have our back shoulder and our back hip.
It's important when you're doing this to make sure your elbows still stay out, and we don't get that elbow caught in like this. Keep them out nice and wide. Now, we're going to show you what that looks like with a player.
So, we're going to focus on those four positions in the profile drill. First, he's going to turn to his right, and we're going to start up at the head, down at the waist, at the shoulder, and at the back hip.
Again, every time, making sure to pull this back all the way so he can see and identify the ball as it's coming to him.
Then he's going to turn the other direction and we're going to go at the head, at the waist, at the shoulder, and at the back hip. You're going to randomize these different locations as you do the drill.
There you go. Drill number three underway. You guys are building upon each thing that you're doing with every exercise. Keep in mind, all you've got to do is make sure to put in the time. 10 minutes for two weeks equals touchdowns. Go get it.
